As you know, cassettes and VHS tapes are quickly becoming a thing of the past and are being replaced with CD's and DVD's. New vehicles don’t even have cassette players in them anymore. The equipment in our production department needs replacement and is becoming outdated very rapidly.
We have transferred all of our audio cassettes and videos over to a digital format and need new equipment to produce it.
We have checked out other ministries and compared what equipment they had and decided on Microboard DX-2 and the Macintosh G5. The DX-2 will give us the capability to record two CD’s or DVD’s at the same time and print directly on the disc. It’s has a reliable rate of 10,000 hours without any errors.
The Mac G5 will enable us to render video footage of classroom teachings and teach students graphic design on both platforms.
There have been many requests at Brother Mac’s meetings for his testimony on DVD. We have been waiting on is the equipment to make it.
As an added bonus, this will also give us another tool to train students in a new profession in the Audio/Video field.
So we are looking for 28 people to give $250.00 each toward our production departments needed equipment. This new computer and industrial digital CD/DVD burner will bring us up to date and make Brother Mac's Testimony more widely available on CD and DVD, as a witnessing tool.
